In India...we have a fad for long lasting palliances and in this matter germans are the best...have a Haier split AC in my office chamber and it has been working faultlessly over the past 3 years. The earlier samsung one developed some problems and despiet the engineers efforts became a continual nagging one. not that all of them are bad...we have others too working OK. LG and Samsung are supposed to save on power as per their pronouncement...Haier makes no such boasts.
