Salman Rushdie already found refuge in the United Kingdom long long ago. He didn't even try and seek refuge in a GCC country. SO there is no Q about Quatar offering RUshdie refuge. And as for Taslima Nasreen, she has only sought refuge in India and in Europe.

Neither Rushdie nor Nasrin approached a GCC consul general 4 help....I suspect this is the reason.

Donot know much about this issue.I only know that He is an Artist.and done some harm to emotions of people ,Any way God must have some purpose behind this .
