There should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.

When Indian States were reorganized on linguistic basis, the seeds of regionalism were sown by the Congress Government headed by Late J.L. Nehru and the states that were neglected during that time have taken advantage of the circumstances and now they have the bargaining power.

Had the regional politics been devoted to improvement of the region then it would have converged to the progress of our Nation.
But unfotunately it is the division of shares like KALNEMI desired to devide LANKA in Ramayana, so each one is busy with own share ignoring the National interest.
The process some timeslead to the growih of unwanted terrors in some regions.
So if a large number of tiny regional parties start pulling back the country for their own party interest, how the Nation can grow?

Yes it definitely hamper national progress. When an unified national goal is not envisioned by our leaders how can they work towards development of nation? When there's no vision for development where is action plan for it? It is true that one should also consider development of their own communities and states but not at the expense of national development. This regionalism feeling brings unhealthy competition between states and state leaders quarrel in parliament to defend their arguments and ensuring that they get all the attention and funds directed for their state growth. Cooperation between different states which are ruled by different parties lacks due to hostility and enmity of these leaders. There should be one common goal uniting all people of India and that is bright future of nation and it's development. Our leaders better understand this first.
