Q.
Indian cricket team that was world number 1 only about six months back is almost the same team that is presently touring Australia. Ups and downs are quite natural in any sports. So is it not unfair to simply criticize this team for its poor performance in Australia?

Ups and downs are always there for anybody and everybody.
But here the question is throwing themselves out - tooooooo lethargic in their attitude.
Whether they are going to hit or not, already they have encashed enough and that too till their life time.
So not taking care of the team to which they are attached, but taking care of themselves, is the real sin,
that all cricket team members are having.
So it is always being questioned.
Moreover, they take lot of money for either playing or for not playing.
So the criticism is absolutely correct with respect to these people - definitely not for others.

It is not criticism. An in-depth appraisal is necessary.
