There are many Indias. You are talking about the India in which a small minority of people live. The are millions of families who do not earn even three thousand rupees a month

Where 70% population could not get two meals where farmers are committing succide where peopledie due to lack of medical services how we can say we are rich. actually money is unequally distributed 90@ country wealth is with 5 % people.that is why we can see so vast variation.see how much gold/diamonds were sold during deepawali,see our politicians/bureaucrats/businessmen/

Poor, rich are not absolute terms. they are only comparitive. yes i do agree with you india is not as poor as it was used to be. gradually cycles are disappearing and giving place to mother cycles. villages have been electrified, television and mobiles phones reached
remotest villages. cinema heros are taking more than 5 crores a film, meaning the entertainment business is booming. people purchase tons of gold which is totally imported. india is no longer a poor country.
