Since we are changing the names of many cities and towns, I think it is time to change the name of India to Hindustan. In Iraq, Indians are referred to as Hindus (person from Hindustan).

Actually India word has come from the word Sindhu ... The Foreign travellers from Portugal used a corrupt form of Sindhu and pronounced it as Indus & gradually English travellers gave the present form ... that we use ..INDIA...

The name India is derived from Indus, which is derived from the Old Persian word Hindu, from Sanskrit Sindhu, the historic local appellation for the Indus River. The ancient Greeks referred to the Indians as Indoi, the people of the Indus.
