What a wonderful actor and also a very good man. He did so much charity work and never fooled around or had a bad reputation. I suppose my all time favourite film was "The Sting" with Robert Redford - seen it so many times and would happily watch it again. The Towering Inferno was another great movie and perhaps his last big movie Road To Perdition defying his age. I am looking forward to a run of his best movies on TV as a tribute.

He made many great movies and a few stinkers too. I should like to see him playing a Mexican bandit in The Outrage (1964) again. (It is an American remake of the great Kurosawa movie Rashomon (1950).)

Ya i read about it ,he died yesterday aged 83. apart from his blue eyes and the orthodox handsome looks,i liked him cause he had a passion for car racing..which i find very interesting!! as a child, isaw him in the colour of money with tom cruise,he also won an oscar for it,in 1986 i guess! The screenplay was written by Richard Price, and the film was directed by Martin Scorsese, featuring an original score by Robbie Robertson.
