Q.

I have invested in HDFC young star policy and paid first premium RS50000 but statement shows RS18000 only in my account. Can anyone knows how much allocation charges for first and following years?? Is it worth to continue this policy or close it?? Please write your comments.

Dear Haja Mohaideen,
Please clearly specify the name of the policy you have taken, since they are many variations of young star policy.

The following are the allocation rates.

HDFC Young Star Plus - Premium Allocation Charges
First Year - 60%
Second Year onwards - 1%

Yes the policy is correct keep on investing. As per HDFC they will deduct 30% for 1st year and 1% for next 2 years After that every money which you invest will be in added to Policy directly. for detail calculation kindly visit anyof the HDFC bank even I have Double benifit policy for my child. Think for long term for such policies.
