Nothing complicated about it all. In such times of economic recession the US were better off spending the sum on bailing out some more of thier banks. As for the monitoring process well there aint a damnt thing the US can do to ascertain that the funds are being used for the right purpose. After all from past history the whole world knows the lies and sham that cloak Pakistani government and society. In a country where the official government professes and encourages terrorism against others one cannot trust them in any way.

The FREE flowing Aid will go back to the US politicians to a certain extent. Asif Ali Zardari to an even greater extent (Remember, he was known as Mr. 10% during the regime of his late wife, Ms. Benazir Bhutto) A small percentage to SHUT the mouths of his bystanders - cronies - sychophants - and a VERY small percentage will go into real ground realities where it is REALLY needed. However, Dr. Manmohan Singh\'s message to Mr. Zardari yesterday, at Yekaterinburg, Russia, was very stern in front of the Media, which goes : \"Excellency, I am pleased to meet you. But I have a limited mandate to tell you that the Pakistani territory can\'t be used for acts of terror against India\" Zardari looked flustered. This reflects a direct signal to Pakistan about what the agenda for futher talks should be, between the two countries. I am sure Mr. Barack Obama has watched this interview yesterday and will READ between the lines rather than MONITOR the situation.
