It flutters in my chest like a dove, causing my depressed heart to rise and float on
the wings of your memory..I cherish it, no, there is no anger in it anymore...
Soothing thoughts of me and you stepping and swaying to the beat of a song...
It warms and heals the horrible hurt I've carried for over a year...
peace, pleasant, magnifcent peace resting in the memory of your quiet presence...
lying against the softness of your skin...listening to your stories of the world beyond my ignorant, shuttered life...
I swear, I'm not trying to make you the rebound man...how could I...My marriage is torn beyond repair....
Damn...it does....
feel like the first days of summer, when the heat swells gently, and the nectar of the trees perfumes the air...
