HM and Toyota were started almost at the same time. But where is HM today and where is Toyota. What is the reason?

Yes that is a sad story. Toyota was operating in a highly competitive environment always. Hence they had to pay great attention to maintain quality and give the best customer service. Where as HM was operating in a protective environment until the Indian industry was thrown open for global competition in early 90\'s. Protection proved to be a bane for HM as they totally ignored the quality and customer service and ended up in the present plight.
