In thiis so called modern age Sr citizens are neglected to become depressed, mentally ill , some one's servant to lead the last period of life after serving this country and bringing up a family to take part in it's progress. Do you think wether they deserve better attitude & real help?

They deserve the best in their old age. If no one is interested to help them, at least their children should help.

I feel that the old and senior citizens do deserve a better living no doubt they should be taken care by the children

With the advent of unit family, old people have lost their traditional role. Further, now young people are compelled to work away from their home town, and womenfolk are also working....the children no longer depend on grandparents for wisdom/knowledge. So this is a new situation, which the society/government shud examine and find solutions... as to how old people can be better placed.
Yes, they deserve better treatment, it is a social obligation!

Yes, senior citizens do deserve that extra care. The very idea of having old age homes brings chill in spine specially when they have their families around.
Saw one cartoon some time back and felt so bad.
A parent was telling his son who has come to see him off on his first day of oldage home
Yaad hai, tujhe school ke pehle din aisey hi main bhi chhodney aaya thaa.
Bass fark yeh hai, yahan mujhe sham ko lene koi nahin aayega ....
