Sohaga is a chemical used as in powder or liquified form both...
and used to polish gold...
bring back or highlight the glitter...
make it more attractive....
isilie kehte hain sone pe suhaaga !

You have quoted this phrase wrong firstly gold is not referring 'sone' in this phrase. Generally is phrase ko ham log kise problem mein h use kerte h and there it simply means k pehle se h koi problelm thi r uper se ek or afat.

So i guess considering sone as gold and asking furthermore for suhaga is not worthy.

Suhaga ek pawder hai aur agar sone ko koi shadisuda mahila pahnti hai to usko kahte hai sone pe suhaga i think
