My grandmother say she has fast but they eat all sort of stuff like sweets, milk , and fruits and sabu dana, kaju, badam during fast so is this really fasting or feasting

There are different kinds of fasting. In some fasting it does not mean that one has to remain hungry. It can involve just giving up certain kinds of foods eg cereals, salt, garlic, etc. It is kind of a sacrifice of certain food items.
So one can be on a fast and still feast on other things
