Draupadi was named krishna originally as she was dark. since she was the daughter of drupada she was called draupadi. now in mahabharatha we come across 3 krishnas all named because they were dark in complexion. 1 sri krhna dwaipayana ( dark and born on an island) whom we know as sri veda vyasa the jagathguru of dwaapara yuga.) 2. sri vaasudeva krishna ( son of vasu deva and also dark in complexion, krishnam vande jagathgurum because he like veda vyas is a vishnu incarnate and the geethaachaarya) 3. krishna ( draupadi , sachi devi born to marry the 5 pandavas who were none but the 5 images of purandhara ,indra)
