Stress causes so much unhappiness and dissatisfaction in life, its worth our time to look at some of the main causes of stress.

So, what kinds of things cause stress?

The truth is, just about anything could be a source of stress to somebody. And it is different for different people. One persons recreation is another persons stressor (think rock climbing, for example.)

The main causes of stress that most of us have in common, though, tend to fall into three general categories: Physical Stressors

Social Stressors

Emotional Stressors

Living in an area where overcrowding, crime, pollution, or noise is a problem can create chronic stress. Being unhappy with your work or finding your job too demanding can lead to chronic stress. Being poor, feeling lonely, or facing discrimination based on your race, gender, age or sexual orientation can add stress to your life. A lot of things can cause stress...!
