I'm in defence accounts department and working as a AAO. How pay will be fixed in jan2006 and i am promoted from section officer to AAO in apr 2007. Last pay scale 6500-200-10500 for SO & 7450-225-11500 for AAO both merged & upgraded 7500-250-13500 in the grade pay Rs, 4800. Section officer is non gazetted and AAO is Gazetted post. Pl comment..............

As per VICPC orders you will be fixed 6500*1.86 as on 1/1/2006. but if you opt from the date of your promotion to aao and loose arrears you will be fixed 7450*1.86. but we have to fight for fixation of 7500*1.86 with effect from jan-06. for further clarification please visit aidaks.blogspot.com -- Secretary General All India Defence Accounts Karmchari Sangh
