It is the copy of the mail (quoted as cc) and for the one whom we want to sent, but others should not aware should be addressed in "Bcc"

Carbon copy and blind carbon copy are the dictionary meaning but practically cc is to mark a copy to someone where the main receipent can also see his ID whereas bcc is marking copy to someone without disclosing his identity to others
