In ap 25 students of sc/st have been given admissions in enginerring and other institutes though got 0%marks in entrance examination on the basis that they got 40%in intermediate examination, is it not compromising with quality of candidates and dont you think it will not be interest of country and should be avoided?

Whatever is the caste/community of the candidates, minimum marks in the entrance examination should be prescribed without which admissions should be denied.

This is what Kapil Sibal wants to apply in the whole country. As the population will grow, we will see a similar situation nationally; the competitiveness will merely reduce to Class XII marks and caste representation....entrance exams will just be a formality. Anyway institutes and govt. make a lot of money from entrance exam application fees.
