Q.

In ancient India, there were NO GOD-MEN.
There were only enlightened masters/Gurus/ sadhus/avadhoods/sanyasins. They owned little or nothing. No palatial ashrams, institutions or foreign assets. They didnt promise material riches, position, power or magical cures. They didnt SELL spirituality. They were not POLITICAL. They didn't participate in strikes or dharna or speak for political parties. All they did was giving spiritual guidance to real aspirants.
It is time people realize this HUGE difference. Any say?

Those spiritual masters have just said "when you are ready, spirituality will guide you - the right master will be in front of you". It is our effort to prepare for it that we need to purify ourself by being honest.
No one can sell if you refuse to buy by public interest instead of personal interest.

Yes and in those good days, POLITICS meant service and not looting. K Kamraj and EMS Namboodiripad, gave up even their wealth and properties for their parties, they had principles then, but not now

It was different then. They existed then also, swami vivekanad mentioned that such fake spiritual masters do exist ,even swami shivanand saraswati in his book raja yoga has mentioned such fake charlartans who impress people by their few siddhis and make money.
It was there but genuine saints were more ,this sudden increase in wealthy sanyasis has happened after industrialization of the world where mean's of aquiring wealth and keeping it safe is there and also due to modern democratic system where power can be attained by polarizing votes on religious lines.
