A minister of Dasaratha the emperor of ayodhya. a close confidant of the emperor he like sanjaya of mahabharatha drove dasaratha's chariot. he was one of the fewest ministers who had access to the inner chambers of the emperor. he was entrusted with the task of leaving sri rama,sitamma and laxmana at the forests at the start of sri rama's exile period.
