Customs vary from place to place....it\'s true and is true for all wether muslims or Hindus. Shias have different tradition and sunnis follow different traditions. few muslims go to mazaars where others oppose it strongly. few muslims believe in Taabiz(supernatural power) but others oppose it. ladies can not take up any profession in Arab muslim world but ladies in India are working in many fields....and are having good careers. Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma is a religion which respects freedom of individual and allow them to take any path that leads to Moksha. that\'s why we have many saints and enlightened souls who guided us from time to time. Islam forces all muslims to pass strictly thro a single frame dictated by a single person. slaves do not have choice but wherever they could they\'ve moved beyond that frame. if you think it\'s great thing for their unity then i must say explore little bit to find out the truth. sunnis killing shias in our neighbourhood is not an ...more

This si basicallty Due to their pillars of faith 1--- all beleive in one god without assocaites 2- All beleive in final massenger Mohammad pbuh 3 -- All believe in Quran as revealed scripture 4-- Further it is boligation for each muslim to pray 5 times facing Makkah ,fast one month and perform pilgrimage which is truely universal as muslims from all over globe forget their diffreences and bow to God in two piece of cloth . All this brings spiritual unity as well as physical unity

SIR ,there may be differences between hindus and muslims in customs but if you take scriptures as basis it is easy to understand both have some common sets of beleifs . The diiferences arose after Britishers employed divide and rule policy otherwise they existed peacefully for many centuries . If we go back to scripures still all basics remain the same .

Humbly I think intentionally you raise a controversial thing to know others views. The Muslims are too devided. They have "Siya" , "Sunni" etc. etc. Their customs also vary from one to another.Rather the Hindus are more or less maintain a uniformity than those of the Muslims.

Dear Joyesh, please understand that....Uniformity in customs never bring unity..... Hindu tradition being world\'s oldest culture holds its holyness & unity due to STRONG PHILOSOPHY IN ITS SPIRITUALITY.... Hinduism is the basic art of living which respects freedom of individual and allow them to take any path, any customs........but all of them leads to MOKSHA, MERGE WITH GOD. Please understand that, customs are few methods to be into religious path.....it may and it should vary from place to place, with time and social atmosphere........... Customs should suit the mindset of local people then only it will be accepted ......AND THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE AT HINDU TRADITIONS... To attend second part of your question on Muslims, please understand that, Muslims do have different customs (at marriage, prayer style, prayer hall - mosque and at their style of believing Allah)..... They do have much bias between siaa & sunni, Ahamadiya, sufi, Mujahiddin, borha etc...... ...more

Islam is the Religion of \'The God\' Creator Allah. God is One so hisReligion is ONE whichever is the place. If any Muslims practice other than what Allah commanded for, they will not remain as Muslims. Though their names are recorded in Government register as Muslim. Throughout the World Woman in Islam do all kind of proffesional Jobs which suits to a Woman, Including serving in Military and Ministery.

Because there is no such religion as Hinduism. The word \"Hindu\" was coined by outsiders who came to India after crossing the river Sindhu (Indus). Today it is a general name given to the ancient Indan civilisation where (as manjoj thakur says) people of diverse faiths, cultures and traditions live. Out of all the ancient civilisations like Egyptian, Greek, Roman, etc this is the only one which is still surving

Hinduism is often stated to be the \"oldest religious tradition\" or \"oldest living major tradition with roots reaching back into the prehistory and often most diverse in religious traditions. It is formed of diverse traditions and types and has no single founder.Hinduism as we know can be subdivided into a number of major currents. Of the historical division into six darshanas, only two schools, Vedanta and Yoga survive. The main divisions of Hinduism today are Vaishnavism, Shaivism, and Shaktism. Hinduism does not have a single system of salvation and has different goals according to each sect or denomination. Some suggest that Hinduism does not have a \"unified system of belief encoded in declaration of faith or a creed\". The difference also comes from ethnic and cultural diversity. Hinduism is based on \"the accumulated treasury of spiritual laws discovered by different persons in different times\". Hindu culture, rituals and fe ...more

Human being is a single unit. The customs and cultures have been divided which by its very nature cannot be uniform. It will keep on changing depending on time, place, weather, and circumstances. Humans have tendencies to see people complementing and endorsing, just to fulfill this desire the need of unity is felt. Otherwise the humanity is one unit and sections of it keep opposing what goes against their interest and belief, be it religion, culture, politics or any other act.
