If your boss asks you do a near impossible job , what will be your choice

---politely refuse
-- take the responsibility and fail miserably
-- try by exceptional out of the box approach , but demanding promotion for success if done successfully ?

I will give a try and if I cannot succeed, I will inform boss that I am not able to do it.

My choice would be " accept it as a challenge" ......... always boss is there to advise/help us in difficulties...... take his/her inputs and do it ......... see, at the initial stage it may be a pain or create disatisfaction but when we get success or complete the task in a proper way it results a great satisfaction for us ....... recogmisation never comes in one or two incidents that always happens when the result maintaince consistancy ......... we need not to beg or approch or demand for our promotion , make the management realise by our good work , automatically it will come on it's way .........

Boss can not give polite job unless he is hugely bribed which is a near impossible task to resolve, to protect his antecedents.

First know the reason for the job and my selection.Then i will decide.It could be a ploy by boss to belittle me in front of the rest of the staff.

Will not and Can not refuse , Certainly put My best Efforts and do not Hesitate in asking the Opinions and suggestion from Those Who were Faced The same Problem , earlier .Efforts and hard work is in My Hand , the result may not be in My Control .

Send sick medical certificate and remain absent for one month. By that time the job would be most probably be entrusted to another colleague
