Please read these verses of the noble Quran and think on it
(3:3) He has revealed this Book to you, setting forth the truth and confirming the earlier Books, and earlier He revealed the Torah and Gospel (3:4) for the guidance of mankind;2 and He has also revealed the Criterion (to distinguish truth from falsehood). A severe chastisement lies in store for those who deny the signs of Allah. Allah is All-Mighty; He is the Lord of Retribution.
Expalanation*2. The Torah is generally taken to signify the first five books of the Old Testament, and the Injil (Gospel), to mean the four Gospels of the New Testament, even though those books form a part of it. This has sometimes caused people to wonder if these books were indeed revealed by God. If they are accepted as revealed, one may wonder if the Qur'an really verifies their contents as this verse says. The fact is, however, that the Torah is not identical with the first five books of the Old Testament even though those books form a part of ...more

There is no conversion in Christianity....According to the Bible as many as they who believe in Jesus & Him alone, God gives them the right to be His sons...Now the only conversion mentioned in the Bible is this:" Unless you get converted & become like little children, you can not enter the kingdom of God"...

This means the only conversion which we can have is to be innocent as children when we come to God & be loving & sweet like them...

The other question I want to ask you is what do you feel you would achieve by the conversion?...Since Christ is not a religion,...He is a relationship...

So if you know the Word of God which is the Bible, you would get this things right in your mind...Let the people call you whatever on paper,..in practice & testimony you should be like Christ....not a Christian...

What do u need our our opinion for? ur own family opposes? u want to convert. so convert. but before changing the paths remember what krishna said " it is better NOT practicing one own swadharma properly or dying while practicing it rather than following other's dharma perfectly". santhana dharma has philosophy. christianity goes around 2 words sin, jesus blood . there is no philosophy in this deserstv religion. its just an off shoot of guru tattwa . a markata kisora neethi , just hold on to ur guru the way young monkeys hold on to their mothers which carry on to the destination.

What is the attraction who is forcing you to convert yourself into christianity.I really find it strange. Our Vedas ,Geeta are wonderful granth to follow and our Gurus who are their to give us correct knowledge then what is the reason you want to change your religion.I don`t even know you even then I am hurt to know that why you want to change your religion. If you find it good then learn good things from their religion and try to follow that but why to label yourself that I am christian. Respect the feelings of your parents.According to me you will make blunder of your life by doing so. If you feel that by doing so you will be able to see God then My dear friend you are mistaken . In our religion also Our saints have realised God.

What is the reason for you to think about conversion to christianity? My suggestion is, as conversion to another religion is a major decision, therefore, you should think about it seriously from various angles. If your family is opposing, give respect to their feelings.

They oppose because they fear that once you covert you will no longer be part of "us" but will become one of "them" (a stranger). Once you convince them that you will continue to love and respect them in tha same way and only your way of worshipping God is going to become different, they might come around. Otherise you wll have you will have to choose between your spritual happpines or your your family

You can follow tenets of christianity without converting to christianity. Indian religions respect all good values coming from anywhere. In the process you will not hurt your parents who have given birth to you and brought you up.
