Suppose the law enforcers police dance and dine with the criminals / underworld to celebrate an occasion then what is the difference between these two apart from the dress they wear?

Absolutely right you are in saying this but there are still a few good policemen who believe in policing in the true sense of it. So, we must not loose our hope entirely as i think the new brigade of the Indian youth will change the face of it too!!

Well said Good Citizen, Police officials are diluting their position by mixing with criminals, they may defend theselves by saying that they also have private life still being a public servant the message they give is very neagtive and wrong. They should keep safe distance from criminals and suspects so that they do justice with the job they are doing. I feel media is equally responsible to air this news , instead media should highlight such things to the concerned only, media is tarnishing the image of Whole department by showing few negligent servants in this way publice will loose faith in them and will take Law in their hands, there is no sensibility shown by media.

We all know that Bollywood had done much damage by depicting Police and Criminals together like "Hand in Glove" let media not dent it further. I feel stern action should be taken against the officials involved (Police Dept) so that others learn a lesson from it.

If you accidentally take panga(fight) with a criminal, chances are that he may forgive you or settle the matter, but if you unknowingly get involved in a fight even with the relative of a police walla then you better pack off your things and leave the city.

At the outset, it may look like there is no difference between the two since the law enforcer is not better than a criminal or mafia. However, in this particular case, the criminal is far better than the cop because the criminal did not change his color whereas the law enforcer cop changed his. He forgot his own identity as to what he is, why he is there. He betrayed himself, his own upbringing and his own country which gave him an opportunity to live an honorable life of serving the country and its people by upholding the law of the land. The betrayal is more heinous by a law enforcer when compared to the born criminal.

I know the incident you are referring to, when you say dance and dine with the criminals. It does not matter whether the police dance or dine with the criminals or do it all alone, the police force across the country is criminalised and policemen with a clean track record is a negligible minimum. The police in general is dubbed as criminals in uniform and will continue to be so , so long as there is none to police the police. The Govt just shirks responsibility terming the police as a regimental force, but majority of the regiment are day time looters/robbers. They looters take the avtars of Highway police, Traffic police, Law enforcement officers in public places, emigration officers in International airports. Whenever the police has a chance to interact/interfere with the hap;less public, they will leave no chance to fleece and loot

Criminal and police nexus is not a new thing. Many investigating officers collect information by being their friends. Some of the officers apparently help criminals to get off small charges so that they can get them or others in a big case.
