Any car with a cage construction , with front and side crumple zones, dual air bags, withs ABS, electronic immobiliser. Can add central locking and fire retardents. Also in cars working on CNG/LPG to have a good insulation on electric circuits and a safe gas kit.

No car is safe these days, my friend, what with increasingly chaotic traffic conditions and the non-existent traffic authorities. The R.T.O. at least in Mumbai, has become corrupt to the core. It is no longer interested in improving the traffic flow on the city's roads and making it behave in an orderly fashion. These authorities are no longer interesteed in weeding out unlicensed autorickshaws from Mumbai's roads and making the main roads in Mumbai's suburbs safe for the common man. They are simply lining up their pockets day in and day out. Unless quite a few P.I.L's are filed against these corrupt officials, things are unlikely to improve. In the meantime, it is my plea to the common man to please avoid the temptation of purchasing vehicles, two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Consumerist lifestyle ,that is sought to be promoted by govt. as a deliberate policy to boost demand for automobiles ,MUST be defeated, unless and until we are given good roads, parking space, emission free vehicle ...more
