Q.

Two days ago a bomb was diffused in the platform #2 of Howrah stn. Only 14 months ago there was a massive hold-up by terrorists in India's prime city..many lost lives and wat did the govt. do after that?? Carry on with the interrupted peace talks with Pakistan in the Foreign sec. level?? If the Home ministry knew abt Headley's Pune visit in '07-'08...what security tightening measures did they take in Pune and even the other places where Headley headed for??..How many more terror strikes will it take for the govt. to take action?? How many more 26/11-s do we need to become alert??

Ya cant expect to check each and every place. It aint practical to monitor a place like German Bakery. How many bags would ya check day in and out. The only way to beat terrorists is by having very strong counter intelligence. Intelligence gathering mechanisms need to be strengthened and beefed up. Only then can the security apparatus get a step ahead of the terrorists. Therer would be many 26/11s till Indian and its countrymen stop their petty fighting and start co-operating in fighting the forces of evil

If everything could be so simple as we understand, the world would have been a better place. That is the tragedy of it. The goe-political diktas are such that, at International level, a deliberate obfuscation or confusion is maintained all the time. This is nothing new. From the times of cold war post WW 2, it has been going on. The Americans and Russians battled out in every continent and yet they kept talking on everything under the sun with no tangible improvement in world peace.

That is what is happening today. The Americans are forced to play double role in Pakistan. You don't help those m _orons in power in Pakistan, the country would slide to anarchy and before you can bat your eyelid, the Taliban would have taken control over Pakistan and their nuclear arsenal. If the U.S helps them, they just take it easy and put up or even encourage all these extremist fanatics.

India - Pak talks are nothing more than diplomatic jugglery that will achieve nothing other than the media c ...more

I hope Govt is in action.as per the News. But certainly Could not get yet route to the event.
Need to focus on Distroying all unidentified bags by security
Need to focus on Inventory of material used at locations
Need to focus further measures at Centralied local transport .
Need to focus on Money used for such incidances.
For citizen ,They should inform with out any hesittion to loacl authorities
If any hurdle is there in people's mind for such things ,action must be taken by govt to avoid this.
I appreciate people's reaction to yesterday's event .They did not cought up with panic.
After all Pune has very decent crowd. They themselves will take care about such events in future.

Very bad indeed! Govt. is busy in discussing reservation for minorities to attract their votes. Shame shame. Here I am giving some suggestions to help them out of the menace. If they have time they should seriously think about it.

Action for government or political parties:
(1) We have to take our own decision. As an independent country we have to exercise our rights. We can not depend on US decision. If US is facing similar problem whether they are listening to anybody before taking action on another country? I am not saying we have to go and attack Pakistan immediately. We have to think tactfully and take our own decision. Important thing is we have to think out of box solution and there are many wise brains in our country who can guide government to take best possible decision. If required they should form an advisory board for that. Because Im sorry to say that many of our leaders are not wise enough to take some decision. (2) All the parties should take hardest possible acti ...more
