Read somewhere that as per a study, the mere presence of a mirrorwhich allowed people literally to watch over themselvesmade them more likely to behave in a more upright way. Guess, absence of mirror will devoid human beings of self monitoring and they will behave less upright.

Using a mirror we can become more presentable to others. Human beings know the uses of a mirror. We know that the image in the mirror infront of us is our own image.
Was there no mirror , we wouldn't know there is any such thing called mirror and there wouldn't be any difference in the behaviour of people.
