The new song phir mile sur mera tumhara has been in a controversy becuase of the fact that they have not included Sachin Tendulkar and Abdul Kalam. Plus, the new song looks fully commercialized while the old one seemed straight from the heart. http://kraran.com

Now a days Amitabh Bachhan is everywhere on big as well as small screen- movie, reality shows or commercials. his presence in New version of Mile Sur... is very irritating, if you may permit me.

This song is a symbol to celebrate the diverse culture and flavour of india but the new version has changed
the meaning completely with only the film stars dominating the screen which is unfair. If this
new version is to celebrate the colours of INDIA, then we don't need these celebrities at all
but people like APJ Abdul kalam, Rahul Gandhi, players from our hockey team. Bring the Chak de India girls for this song or people from different walks of life like Sania MIrza, Tennis players, Theatre peronalities, media people like Vinod Dua, Barkha Dutt or someone like Anoushka Shankar, Konkona Sen, Nandita Das and most of all, WHERE IS THE COMMON MAN?? I wonder how could Kailash Surendranath could not feel this while making the new version when he is the creator of the old.

Not bad at all.... The old one evoked very strong feelings of being part of a great nation... every time i watch it. And the new one is such a good joke. cannot stop laughing every time i see it. I think it serves some purpose. makes you laugh.
