Government should evict the illegal occupants from government land.
Since we are a democracy, people's views need to be considered and if the highways are being routed through very thickly populated areas, the same can be diverted in areas which do not have more settlements. This is to avoid displacing people who have their settlements for ages. However, if the objection is not genuine, they should be ignored and action taken against them for creating hindrace in development.
