Generally, English speaking countries and the Dutch call Friday of the Holy Week as "Good Friday". In early Modern English, "Good" had a meaning in the sense of "Holy". But some others argue that the word "God" became "Good" in the same way that "Good Bye" comes from the phrase "God be with ye". On the other hand, the usage of the phrase "Good Friday" is varied from countries to countries as follows:-

In the Holy Land, Good Friday is known as "GREAT FRIDAY." In Germany it is "Friday of Lamentation" and PASSION OF FRIDAY. In Armenian it is called "HIGH FRIDAY". But in Russian it is called "PASSION FRIDAY" and in Chinese, "PASSION FRIDAY" and "Day of Christ's Suffering".

GREAT FRIDAY: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and in the Eastern Orthodox Church.
HOLY FRIDAY: Latin America, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Philippines ...more

Actually, they called it "God's Friday" initially as Jesus had got crucified in the name of God. Later on with passage of time it became "Good Friday."

Yes, even the Christians are also doing sin. so because of all these things 2000 years ago god sacrified his son and our lord jesus on the cross. Even the muslims belive in sacrifice. Because God, the Rabbi, Father, Allah loves Sacrifice. In these new, instant, internet generation not only christians everyone has to sacrifice everything i.e., giving away the bad habits, stop seeing and showing human bodies in front of the webcams....please sacrifice showing the porn sites and close the porn sites, homosexual etc., If god Al-mighty is loving still because, that we all, not only the christians everyone who are living on their own and not followin ...more
