We, Indians, have the bad habit of under rating our credibility. We are between 7 and 8 in international politics. Today, India is respect more than western countries for sincerety and working for peace. Peace makers deserve more credibility than war mongers. Our troops, if sent to Iraq or Afghanistan will have more respect than the NATO troops or Americans but we avoid for technical reasons. In international hot spots, wherever, Indian troops were deployed, they have given excellent results.

WOuld say 2/10 or 1/10.

We havent' fulfilled ANY international obligation to date w/ our allies.

- Korea DPR was the earliest NAM nation and when they had good times, they contributed on behalf of NAM to Africa heavily. This got NAM, and thus India- a presence in Africa since India was founder of NAM. But today, when Korea DPR encounters tough times, we blatantly wash their hands off them. Not only that, we also get cozy w/ their enemy. I can imagine the artillery we Communists would've got had the USSR done the same w/ India with respects to China or Pakistan. We condemned their nuclear test even if we did the SAME thing only a few yrs earlier, using the same justifications.

-LTTE and Lanka: We first support the LTTE saying they were needed to stop a US naval base from poppin in Lanka. Then we pull a complete somersault and side w/ Lankan govt. Then we send in troops there and come back half botched.

- NASSER'S EGYPT- Nasser had a golden opportunity to become an offici ...more
