The law does nothing to reform criminals. we are talking about india and not UK. here they are treated like dirt in jails. i have seen the real position in my social service.
the aim must be to curb crime , eliminate crime and not criminal. in this case , sanjay dutt had a 20 year crime free life , he is a reformed man and in no way danger to society. so he deserves mercy

It might be quite tempting for them since he has become a martyred hero in the eyes of a huge vote bank. Digvijay's out pourings of love for him confirm that.
But I doubt if they would do that. Because his sister has already established herself as inheritor of Sunil Dutt's legacy and his entrance would only spark a sibling rivalry. And Congress would prefer the level headed sister over unpredictable Munna who behaves like a Bhai

The sole intention of any political party in this issue, is to grab the sympathy which can be converted into votes ........... if Sanjay Dutt can purchase AK-56 for his defence purpose which is an Illigal as per law then no one should be punished by any means ............ he was not a minor during this act and it has been cleared that he was helping to the terrorist who were the culprit of Bombay blast ......... he must have done many charitable work which proves his innocence( only presented by the politicians) ........ this is not enough to give the space to free him under any circumstance ....... he is above the law , Law should be equal for all , or else people will not trust to our judicial dept any more ...........
