This is normally noticed when the urine contains sugar. The threshold limit is generally 180 in the blood and when the level goes up beyond that, sugar is found in the urine. The child could have developed an auto immune condition due to which he may have become a type 1 diabetic or juvenile diabetic. If the condition has been observed recently then this must have developed after the child had a viral fever of some kind in the recent past.
There is good news. This is an easily correctable situation if the problem was not existing from birth, which is unlikely as he would have been on insulin then. Get him to take transfer factors, which are immunity modulators. They will help the immune system to correct the problem and get the pancreas to start regenerating the right amount of insulin. At present his own immune system has gone haywire and is mistakenly attacking the pancreas, leading to this condition.
