I have read all most all sudha murthy's works. i am her arednt fan . apart from her i loveeeeeeeeeee khushwant singh. he is india's BEST known writers. why i like theese two ? - in both the cases ...their writing is very indian. when u reada khushwant singh its like as if he is just talking to you. i liked a train to pakistan . but his later books like "not a nice man to know " etc are really good. as in his opinion / take on indian poilitcs and important personalities are very candid. !!! :)

I find Indian authors pretentious. They either try to lift their own community up by putting another community down. They are not genuine. They always have a hidden agenda in their book. So I gave up.
