If agriculture is ignored in country like india, future days are very tough. No cattle, costly milk, grains and vegetable, and other items, shortage of water? Nobody has thought about this seriously?

Have ya tried farming in ya concrete apartments. Ya need to try that coz India would be needing the same soon with too much of mouths to feed and scarce land and water resources.

In a country like India where vast land resources are available, the future will see the conventional type agriculture paves way for modern techniques where human, cattle works are replaced with machines.Where water usage will be minimized ( with drip irrigation etc) and all will result in high production in grains, milk, vegetables and other agricultural products at a affordable cost.

Agriculture is not ignored. There is huge increase in the agricultural production from the past to the present. But agriculturists are not getting remunerative price. That is why, so many farmers are committing suicides. About your point of increasing price, it is not due to shortage of product but due to increase in input cost. Main culprit is increase in diesel price which is directly connected to price of any commodity because transportation of commodity from one place to another requires diesel.
