Tom Maynard: The son of former England international Matthew Maynard, the 23-year-old Tom was killed after being struck by a London Underground train on 18 June 2012. Tom played for Glamorgan and Surrey; and also represented England Lions, the national A team. He had a first-class record of 2,384 runs in 48 matches at 32.65 with four hundreds; and was thought by many to be an England superstar in the making. ECB chairman Giles Clarke said: "This is a very sad day...Tom was a player of enormous potential who had already represented England Lions and had an exciting future ahead of him."
