It is politics due to tamil nadu. liberation tigers of tamil eelam had been framed as a banned outfit. it consists of mostly tamilians who migrated centuries back to sri lanka for work.
so while a tamilian may not respect a fellow tamilian here in india , and go about cheating , murder , ra+pe , lootings etc. they have emotions flared up when sinhalese beat the LTTE supporters in sri lanka.
