A senior parliamentarian. Well respected and accepted across political parties. His daughter was (and probably is) the youngest person to enter as elected Parliamentarian.
His is a hopeful in the race of the President of India.
Biggest risk he had taken: Leaving Congress on the account of opposing Sonia Gandhi due to her birth as a foreigner, along with Tarik Anwar & Sharad Pawar to form Nationalist Congress Party. Until then, he was doing pretty well in the politics. According to political analyst's opinions, this move put him a decade behind in his career.
