Actually Prabhakaran fought his own personal war and betrayed Tamil cause.
In order to gain absolute dictatorial control he eliminated entire rival Tamil leadership in Sri Lanka and ultimately died when Col. Karuna was disenchanted.

Had he been more reasonable and accepted peace Tamils in Sri Lanka would have got better deal from position of strength.

And yes he is dead for sure.

Even if Prabakharan is indeed alive, he ain't much w/o Col. Karuna, who openly defected from LTTE citing racism in LTTE and caste system within Tamils in LTTE.

If u note, LTTE was only spectacular as an outfit when it had Col. Karuna backing it up.
