The rate of China's divorces is not mainly due to Economic progress.. but the pattern of Economy.
China is moving out from the State Control to Liberal Economy and also exporting its HR to various part of the World. China treats its Populas as Resource and they have complete control in various issues whether Economy or Foreign Relation.
Though it cannot be denied that tollerance in marriage is taking a back seat.. but Chinese people are also family oriented like India.. but Globalisation and State Policy has made them towards broken marriage.

Not at all. It's just that lifestyles change. In our own SOcialist India when Indra Gandhi ran it, I recall having very little money was more than sufficient 2 run a comfortable life. U didn't have much to buy in the marketplace either. So back then, people focused more in terms of family.
But in modern days, things change. Lifestyles are faster paced and more hectic. Most people would be looking for a compatible career partner more so than a family partner.
U need 2 sacrifice family life and leisure time if u want progress. Hard fact.
