Abdur Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais. Born: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 1960. He is an Imam in Musjidul Haraam (Kabah) in Makkah.
Sudais comes from the Anza clan. He had memorized the Quraan by the age of 12. Growing up in Riyadh he studied at the Al Muthana Bin Harith Elementary School, and afterwards the Riyadh Scientific Institution from which he graduated in 1979.
He obtained a degree in Sharia from Riyadh University in 1983, his Masters in Islamic fundamentals from the Sharia College of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in 1987 and received his Ph.D in Islamic Sharia from Umm al-Qura University in 1995 while working there as an assistant professor after serving at Riyadh University. After Sharia College he was Imam of Musjid Sheikh al Allam Abdur Razzaq Afifi. He also started teaching at the Academy Imam al Dawa al Alimi. He was appointed Imam at Musjidul Haraam, Makkah in 1983. After obtaining his Ph.D he was appointed lecturer at Umm al Qura University.
