Civil society members are expected to make a strong pitch for graver punishment, including life imprisonment for high ranking officials in cases of corruption, when the joint committee to draft the Lokpal Bill meets tomorrow.- Is this a most welcome feature to wean away corruption ?

I do endorse your views and also feel at present this is the only ray of hope/a silver lining in corrupt ridden society.However,whatever the measures recommended by the Civil society members and whatever goes to make Jan Lokpal Bill I don't think it will alone will help to totally wean away the corrupt practices in all it forms.But atleast it can definitely make a right beginning to make this society corruption free and common people to respire with a sigh of relief in life.
