If husband is central govt. employee and has been provided govt. accommodation and wife is Punjab govt. employee appointed at different station but residing with husband then. Can wife claim HRA from Punjab Govt or not?

In present case, it doesnt make sense for wife to claim HRA, even if it is possible. We need some policy reforms to prevent such occurences.

Definately, she can claim HRA from state govt. The accommodation is provided for her hubby & not for her. She gets HRA with like all the other facilities.

Yes, as per govt norms, she is a different entity, just like either or both can claim LTC, LFC or leave.
