FTSE is a joint venture between the Financial Times (F-T) and London Stock Exchange Group (S-E). It is no longer an acrynom.

FTSE - means informally, the "footsie". It is a share index of the 100 most highly capitalised UK companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.
