VHP criticised Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh for targeting sants and mahants in the name of attacking RSS."The saints would soon organise a meeting to give a befitting reply to this ideological invasion of the Congress," VHP spokesman Sharad Sharma said in a written statement.
Criticising Singh, who has been alleging RSS role in the civil society campaign, he said his statements showed no regard to the sants. Those attacking the sants are attacking religion and this would not be tolerated at any cost. Will Dig vijay learn to silent ?

Congress has not one but many spokes persons and Digvijay Singh is just one of them, which congress has deployed only to spit venom. Digvijay is only a facade and not the actual face of the congress. Even if someone slaps it and it is torn, all that congress would do is to change it.

1) I am not trying to hold a brief for anybody here.
2) Anybody knowing the Indian politics would agree that if the sound bite is more against a particular community, the maker is going to get votes from those opposed to the community at the receiving end.
3) Mr. DVS is not going to stop wagging his tongue. He knows it very well how his bread is buttered.
4) Finally, VHP has to grow up. It cannot afford to live in the past. The country and the countrymen are in the 21st century. There are no saints in the new world anymore.
