There are many people who carry out unauthorised constructions or do business without licence(hawkers and other establishments) or other immoral and illegal activities. The party activists collect protection money from such people which is the source of income to that party. Also the party activists solve disputes regarding any matter for a commission. Then they take protection money from registered contractors and suppliers for letting them carry out their business and also to give them further business. Also they take commission for allotment of road side stalls, many times they get these stalls alloted in fictitious names and rent them. In Mumbai even small activists earn lakhs of rupees in money or kind every year.

My dear Manjeet, they will squeeze away all your money and demand more as contribution to the party. Periodically also you have pay. So you will collect money from public, businessmen, or even do not hesitate on kidnapping too for ransom, since you laways have to greese-up the hands of Party Bosses.

First of all if u r not influential in d area u wont get ticket
Once u get ticket d money flows from lot many sources
Party funds
But the amount it mobilises from other sources is much more than what it gives.
it funds campaigning material and sundry expenses
Candidate has to also dish out hefty sum.
its a expensive affair.
