Renowned as Asias biggest railway junction, Bathinda Junction Railway Station
is a railhead under the Northern Railways.

(Bhatinda is also spelt Bathinda.)It has six broad gauge lines, linking the city to New Delhi (via Jakhal), Sri Ganganagar, Ambala, Rewari (via Hisar), Ferozepur and Hanumangarh. A bypass line also passes through the station. It is well connected to the rest of the country by express and passenger trains. Computerized reservation facility is provided. Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) service can be availed. It is the halting point of major trains such as inter-city Express, Fazilka Bhatinda Passenger, Kisan Express, Punjab Mail and Adi Jat Express.

Going north of the junction station, the major railhead is at Faridkot, 65 km. The airport close to the station is Amritsar International Airport (186 km.)
