It is Anil Agrawal who owns Vedanta, a company that has interest mainly in mining. Recently the company was in news because of its association with a mining in Orissa where its subsidiary Sterlite Industries made a joint venture with a public sector undertaking named Orissa Mining Corporation to share profits of bauxite but the deal is in rough weather now.
