Rajmahal Hills are Jurassic Period hills named after the town of Rajmahal which lies to the east in the state of Jharkhand in India.
The hills are oriented in a north-south axis with an average elevation of 200-300 m (600-1,000 ft). The River Ganges meanders around the hills changing direction of flow from eastwards to southwards. Volcanic activity in the Jurassic Era caused the formation of these hills. The hills are approximately located at 25N 87E / 25N 87E / 25; 87
